Description
For sale is my 1974 Dodge Monaco, Blues Brothers replica Bluesmobile with working Roof speaker.
the car has a 400 Cui v8 engine and auto transmission which runs great sounds amazing and shifts strongly i have driven this car long distances and has never let me down and is a comfortable ride, in my ownership i have had all the breaks replaced including brake lines and a new alternator
we have painted as close as possible to the film car.
the car although true to the film in being scruffy is solid with the common rust areas being rust free, the rust on the body work is purely cosmetic and made from rusting paint so it has all good steel underneath, the interior is all black with smart black police style reupholstered seats
the roof speaker is fully working and is connected to the head unit via 600W amplifier for ease of use and has the Blues Brothers soundtrack mp3 pre recorded and saved on to it and is a real show stopper, i had the speaker made to replicate as near as possible the original dimensions from the film,
with only a handful of these dodge monacos in the UK you would be part of an elite group of owners,
good for hiring out for film work etc
bad points- every old car had a few
spot lamp needs wiring in
windscreen cracked about 4 inches along side, doesn't impair vision
heater doesnt work - it turns on but blows a fuse so suspect it needs a new blower motor this has never bothered me
transmission drips when stood for a while - again never bothered me i top it up and carry on,
carpet on driver side is a bit ragged but i have a car mat that covers it
its scruffy, its cool, it grabs attention wherever it goes this is a reluctant sale but it needs to go, motivated to sell
will ship Internationally
as with all my sales offers are accepted
located banbury just off the m40
