We are pleased to present for sale this charming 1960 2CV Fourgonette van, the last of the desirable ripple bonnet variety
Whilst in our care the vehicle has benefitted from a comprehensive yet empathetic programme of mechanical works, in the hands of 2CV specialist Rick Pembro. This has included a new carburettor, larger cylinder heads and countless hours of adjustments to drivetrain, suspension and braking systems, teasing the power up from 12hp to an estimated 21hp, which helps to make the van more usable on today’s roads.
Furthermore, the whole exterior has been professionally patinated, with freshly faded in signwriting, evoking the van’s original incarnation and owner. A look that’s totally original and unique, but bound to catch the eye of customers or enthusiasts alike
The original interior has been retained to give a true sense of character and originality; however we would be happy to discuss alternative finishes with a serious buyer should this be desirable to you
This 2CV has a wonderful sense of authenticity and patina, and with 12 months MOT at point of sale, its ready for work or play and a variety of options to suit your business or lifestyle
Please note: This car will be featured in an upcoming episode of Salvage Hunters Classic Cars featuring Drew Pritchard and Paul Cowland, and we would be keen for the new owner to potentially appear on camera purchasing the car from our presenters
Please contact us if you wish to view or have any questions. Car is located just outside Banbury, Oxfordshire.
