It's hard to believe that in one form or another, the Nissan Patrol has been around for over forty years. It's come a long way. Whereas it used to be a touch agricultural, the Patrol has evolved into a 4x4 that's not short of creature comforts. Post-1997 Patrol models can be identified by their 'GR' trim designation and were exclusively diesel-engined with the SE-spec cars taking the model even further upmarket.
This superb, fifth-generation (Y61) Patrol is a rare 3-door SE powered by a 2. 8-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder producing 128bhp and mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It's very attractively finished in Morello Red over Grey Metallic and sits on a set of unmarked silver alloys wearing an equally smart set of Maxxis Bravo AT 771 tyres. It was first registered on 29/ 10/ 1998 and remained in Jersey with its original owner until arriving in the UK in January 2020. During its time in Jersey, it was used lightly as a family car, never having a tow bar fitted and never having been off-road. Its owner was obviously proud of his Patrol and looked after it fastidiously as it remains in unbelievable original untouched condition, easily confused with a brand new car inside, out and underneath. The engine bay would be at home in a showroom and even the tyres have the branding picked out in white paint. We believe that it's highly unlikely that there are any other Patrols from this era in this condition anywhere.
It's accompanied by its original book pack with the Owner's Manual, Service Schedules, Dealer List, Alarm Manual, the current MOT valid until 10/ 02/ 2021 and the Maintenance Record showing four main dealer stamps, the most recent of which was by Nissan Swansea on 10/ 02/ 20 at 29, 170 miles.
