Developed by Ford SAF, the new Vedette was marketed by SIMCA. It was a brand new car that has nothing in common with the Ford Vedette except for its V8 engine of 2351 cc, now developing 80 hp. Its new monocoque body adopted a very American design and received more or less chrome ornaments, depending on its rank in the range. The range topper was the Regence that we present.
It was bought by André Trigano in 1983, having been in the hands of the second owner since 1958. Our collector recalls being seduced by the state of conservation of the car. Since then, he had entrusted its complete restoration to the museum team. The bodywork has been repainted in its elegant grey and cream two-tone color while the interior has also been completely restored. Under the hood, the V8 has benefited from a refurbishment and the engine compartment reflects the low use of the car since the restoration. This beautiful and well restored example pays tribute to this high-end model of SIMCA.
We inform buyers that all the vehicles in the collection have been little used during the last years as they are part of a museum collection. They are sold as presented and therefore require recommissioning before being driven on the public roads.
Estimate: 10 000 - 15 000 €
