Description
1968 C25, I've had it since 2011 and it's been a great bike to ride. I've tried to think of all the things that have been done on it, and give an honest appraisal of its condition.
It's running a Pazon ignition, which has been faultless. The engine was rebuilt 6000miles ago (August 2014) by RTS near Gloucester. I can't find the receipt but I've the old conrod etc. that was replaced. It's run so sweetly since. It's got a modern regulator/ rectifier on it and I've fitted a halogen reflector and bulb. The lighting is pretty good for an old girl! :) It has a very effective LED tail light.
Tyres are Dunlop K82 and pretty new. Good enough to scrape the centre stand when cornering enthusiastically. The rear shocks are Hagons and have probably only been on for about 5000miles.
The chrome is all original, so is a bit tired in places (I think it's called patina these days!). The front rim is the only area that's got surface rust though. The silencer was replaced a few years back and is good nick.
I had a Starfire tank painted up to replace the fibreglass tank, but I do have the original (which has been sealed with Caswell). I just fancied the greater range that the steel tank offered.
