We are pleased to offer this 1989 3. 2 Carrera for sale finished in the classic combination of jet black with linen leather, it was supplied by AFN Guilford on 21. 04. 1989 and has covered 115, 000 miles since new.
Being an ’89 model, it not only has the desirable G50 gearbox but was supplied with the one year only 6” and 8” Fuchs alloy wheel option which are still in great condition. The rear engine cover has had the spoiler removed to give a purer shape and the electrically operated hood is in excellent condition and still works perfectly, whilst the car is HPI clear with an excellent documented service / MOT history. When we put the car through our pre-sale inspection, it passed the leakdown test with flying colours, with all cylinders recording under 10% and it was noted that a new clutch was fitted 10, 000 miles ago.
So, by now you may be wondering why is it so cheap? Externally it presents very well and unlike some we have seen recently advertised, it hasn’t had a quick respray to hide any corrosion or imperfections.
There is some corrosion starting to appear in the left hand B post and while it will be fine for sometime yet, this will need attending to in the future. The interior is original, and the seats now look a little tired, but again it is very honest and lastly, because of its age and mileage there are a few rattles and squeaks that would be absent in a lower mileage example. Overall, this is a straight and very genuine car that just needs some TLC and we currently don’t have the time to do this.
It was last serviced at 114, 979 miles in 2019 and has an MOT until March 2021.
We believe this is currently the cheapest ‘89 Carrera for sale in the UK and will be sold as seen including our pre-sale inspection for transparency. So why not grab yourself a bargain, that is ready for immediate enjoyment and with a bit of attention should certainly make its next owner a tidy profit.
