Honda PC50 fully restored and ready to show. For those seeking a barn find or machine to 'fix up' this is not the moped for you; there are plenty of 'project' options for sale but once the cost to 'properly' restore is added they often become un-viable. This bike was running when we acquired it in November 2018 once completed it was displayed summer 2019. Registered in May 1976 it has matching numbers with four previous owners. Our hobby is restoring vintage and classic mopeds and carry a maximum of 10 examples to show at events across the country... we now have a second PC50 also in red thus this one is available for sale. The images show once stripped down the PC was found to be solid, any blemishes rectified before receiving several primer coats followed by four topcoats. The tank had a small dent repair whilst all the white bits required little more than cleaning. The front suspension was rebuilt and after a deep clean the engine was repainted to correct colour then fully serviced once refitted to frame. The wheel hubs were cut out and sent away to a 'wheelwright' ... the most expensive part of any PC 50 restoration is the wheels due to being 19 inch in diameter... the rims and spokes have limited supply forcing the prices up ... these left little change from £400. New tubes, rim tape and tyres complete the task, we also sourced a new exhaust system, drive chain, steering lock with keys and period Raleigh style pedals. There is a small mark on the seat cover as in the images, new covers are readily available, but it is minor, and we always look to retain originality where possible.
