We are delighted to present for sale this John Brown 4×4 ULTIMATE Bond Edition. This is effectively an exact replica of the vehicle which will be making its debut in the James Bond movie ‘No Time To Die’ in November 2020 – with the exception of the fact that this is also a Galvanised Chassis rebuild… so should last far better! Early clips released from the film & shoots show James Bond in a car chase driving a blue Series 3. These images were carefully analysed by the team, and recreated in this vehicle.
Externally, this Land Rover® has all the hallmarks of a Bond Edition we would usually do such as the flared wheel arches, new sand canvas canvas, a full set of our own 750 tyres on limestone rims, bonnet mounted spare, galvanised bumper, colour coded lamp surrounds, defender mirrors for additional visibility and a recently refurbished body, with a spray finish.
The interior houses seating for seven in all new standard seats – three in the front, with twin benches to the rear. Deluxe matting is fitted throughout. Further, brighter photos of the interior will be added when the rain abates.
Out on the road, this vehicle is up there as one of the best period vehicles – the larger rubber gives better cruising at speed due to the larger radius, and the free wheeling hubs aid fuel economy by limiting front axle wear and resistance. The vehicle has also been fitted with a full new ignition system – including coil, HT leads, spark plugs, distributor etc – this is to give more ‘turn the key’ reliability straight out of the box, and it is a lovely quiet engine both at idle and speed. It delivers a fun and pleasing period driving experience.
