1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 2 four door convertible Adaptation.

A stunning adaptation in very very rare 4 door configuation of which just six or so were known to have been produced in period. The car is in mint freshly restored & rebuilt condition giving one a clear idea of what it was like to have one of these when new. The car is a labor of love by the builders & beautifully replicates the cars done in period by H. J. Mulliner & Rolls Royce themselves; the only difference being that this was done on a standard chassis giving more pleasing proportions then the originals done on the LWB chassis.
Every nut & bolt has been off the car & renewed or replaced as required making this in effect a brand new Rolls Royce delivered 60 years late. This included engine, gear box & all mechanical componetry.
The car is finished in brand new pale yellow paintwork, a colour which suits it admirably. To the interior is finest quality tan leather beautifully done with mirror finished burr walnut to the dash board, door caps & picnic tables. The hood is a very high quality tan mohair item which glides up & down at the touch of a button once the two forward latches are released. The rear windows cunningly rotate backwards 90 degrees meaning the disappear completely when down. A neat hood bag covers the hood when down but we neglected to have it with us on the day of photography.
The car runs in complete silence simply wafting one down the road. At 90 MPH all one hears is the rush of wind & the sensation of being pushed along by a big invisible hand. This is a very very difficult car to fault & is close to perfection. The car is free from rattles & scuttle shake with a smooth as silk rdde/ It has covered just a few thousand miles since its creation & is well run in & ready for immediate extended use.
