We are delighted to present for sale this smart Series 3 Land Rover®, in the popular Light Pastel Green colour scheme, complete with Limestone wheels and sand canvas.
Externally, there are lots of nice features – the vintage numberplates, bonnet mounted spare, front lamp-guards, recent canvas, rear grab handles and rear mudflaps give a really pleasing period look. There are some modern upgrades, such as the defender-style door mirrors for increased visibility, and towball and electrics to allow towing, should this be required. It is pleasing to note that the bodywork is of a spray finish, rather than the brush type that can be seen on some vehicles. The vehicle sits on a set of our brand new 750 tyres – these give a positive stance, increase the gearing (and therefore fuel economy) and are self-cleaning, which is very handy for when you’ve been off road. It is nice to see the galvanised cappings have survived and this adds to the look. In our opinion, this makes for a really pretty looking Land Rover®!
The interior is largely standard, with three front deluxe seats, and deluxe matting to the footwells. There is a deluxe carpet set fitted to the floors and seat-box, for additional soundproofing and that premium feel. The rear has a pair of twin benches, meaning there is room for 7 seated including the driver, which is great for those family outings. There is a load mat to the floor to prevent scratches and damage.
Out on the road, the quiet petrol engine is a dream – these rebuilt vehicles tend to have a ‘well sorted’ feel and this one is no different. It delivers a pleasing period drive, aided by the larger than standard tyres for quieter cruising and an increased top speed. It turns heads wherever it goes, and is very striking to look at. The added bonus of a Galvanised Chassis means corrosion is not a concern as per the original mild steel vehicles.
In summary, if you are looking for a rebuilt Series 3 Land Rover®, then this could be for you. With the galvanised chassis to ward away corrosion, MOT & Tax Exemption and and classic insurance, it should prove to not only be a solid investment, but also cheap to run in the longer term.
