Description
With the plans for using my Tourist as my daily now changed and another new project looming, I've decided to put it up for sale so it can get loved and used regularly by a fellow enthusiast.
It's a 1990 Wartburg 1. 3 Tourist, fully UK registered and MOT'd. It's the later 4 stroke VW based engine built by IFA and is simply turn key motoring.
The body itself is very good as you can see from the photos and the underside is in amazing condition, never previously welded and totally solid.
Recent work includes:
Full service, greased and brake fluid change
New cambelt and water pump
New radiator
New thermostat
Cooling system flush
New carb reservoir
New rubber fuel pipes
New front ball joints
New driveshaft gaiters (inner and outer)
New gear box oil seals and fresh oil
New rear wheel cylinders
New rear wheel bearings
Rear seat belts fitted
Electrics all sorted and fully operational
The interior is also is very good condition with only a tiny patch on lower rear bench.
The car has both its original sets of keys, a tow bar (untested) and even has an extremely rare owners manual and book pack (in German of course!)
V5 in my name and located in Nottingham area, NG14.
You can literally drive this home knowing it's fully sorted.
Looking for £4250 but open to sensible offers upon viewing.
Lots more photos available upon request. Enquiries from mainland Europe welcome if you're prepared to travel or arrange transportation.
I do know a cheap reliable transporter if that helps.
