1966 norton slimline 650ss cafe racer in dunstall style
I have finally decided to part with my lovely slimline Norton 650ss, because of having fractured my right ankle twice and dodgy hip due to advancing years, i am reluctant to kickstart any of my bikes over in the future.
I have owned the norton for over 6 years and it has been part of my small collection of bikes. I have not used the bike on the road.
since cleaning carbs and buying a roller starter, i have had the bike running - sounds glorious and ticks over is a bit erratic , so might benifit from further tuning to get the optimum performance.
further commissioning for the road is recommended only in so far as the bike hasn't been on the road for a number of years.
I would consider replacing the fuel tank with a ethonol proof one as the one on the bike shows some deterioration.
rather than give chapter and verse on the spec of the bike i will invite viewing (subject to social distancing) and relevant questions , however the pics of the bike forms a good description of the quality of the bike and components used. Any further pics of specific areas of the bike required please ask.
I believe the bike has only covered 400 miles since being rebuilt at a no expense spared build (in my opinion). There are many invoices for work and components used.
The Norton has a nice original registration number which is transferable.
