1997 Audi A8 (D2) 2. 8 Sport.
Registered in August 1997 and on 144, 500 miles (will rise slightly as still in use). Deep metallic blue with dark turquoise leather - very clean inside and out.
It is the Sport model, so benefits from superb Recaro leather seats and 18 inch wheels. A/ C works, tilt/ slide electric sunroof, DAB stereo with Bose speakers. Non-quattro so less to go wrong, all aluminium body also means no rust!
Bought as a stop-gap from a good friend of mine but we have ended up keeping it longer than intended and recently completed a 3000 mile trip across Europe without fault.
New battery just fitted, oil (Castrol) and filter were changed on the 16th Jan by me. It comes on a matching set of Nexen winter tyres with excellent tread remaining (i have a set of summer tyres the buyer is welcome to also). The previous owner replaced the cambelt, fitted a re-con steering rack and changed the oil in the gearbox - it shifts smoothly and when it should.
V5 in my name at my address, HPI clear and MOT until July 2021. Owner’s manuals and a pile of old bills and MOTs (quite a few of which are from main dealers and are eye wateringly expensive!) present.
Bad bits; the airbag light is on and I have been told this is due to the sensor in the passenger seat. There are also a few marks on the rear bumper but overall the bodywork is very straight and clean for the age.
Live out all your Ronin car chase fantasises, whilst achieving sensible MPG (our trip across Europe returned 31mpg!)
Please don't waste my time (and yours!) with low offers. I am not in a particular rush to sell and the car is priced fairly.
