Ducati 998RS, one of only twenty built by Ducati Corse in 2002. Impeccable authenticated written provenance. Raced at national level during the 2002 season by an ex Cagiva Grand Prix rider for a large factory assisted team. An excellent, original and correct example throughout.
The 998RS is as close as it is possible to get to the 2001 WSB winning 996F01. The only difference is in the front forks. Connoisseurs will know this is not in any way a road bike. Every beautifully made part is different and it is in a much higher league. These were supplied to world or national level adequately sponsored racing teams with contracted top level riders and cost circa 100K Euros new. One of them won the 2002 BSB championship.
