- Very original Humber 12/ 25 Tourer
- Low mileage
- Good history file
- Single family ownership since 1961

Originally known for manufacturing bicycles after it was formed in 1887, Humber Limited reinvented itself in 1896 as a producer of high quality motor vehicles. The 12/ 25 was no exception to this, being offered in the form of a 2/ 3 seater, 4-seater, Saloon, Coupe or Tourer.

Registered on 28 March 1925, this 12/ 25 Tourer is presented in an incredible original condition. The car features a large history file, with the first entry in the log book being in June 1933 by a Mr Arthur Williamson of Shipley. The car subsequently passed through two other owners before being bought by a William Hewitt in 1938. It appeared to have been off the road before it was then sold to William's nephew, Paul, in 1961 for a sum of 5. In need of assembly, Paul rebuilt the car and had it put back on the road by the end of 1961. The car has remained in the same family ever since.

Never actually restored, the Humber has a low mileage of 20, 880 miles and has been used by the vendor's family for trips to local car shows. It is noted that the car was still being used until approximately 10 years ago.

Sold for use as is or for restoration. The engine currently does not run, but could be recommissioned for the road with little mechanical work (the vehicle can still be moved easily). Restored or original, this charming 1920s Humber presents itself as a beautiful vintage Tourer with great potential as an element of history or for restoration.

This car is to be auctioned at MPH, Bicester Heritage, Buckingham Road, Bicester.
