Description
A two-stroke twin - the forerunner of the RD250.
It is UK registered (G-reg) and I have the V5 in my name.
It is registered as Historic, so is exempt from road tax, MOT and London ULEZ charges.
This bike was restored in 'street scrambler' style and the sale includes the parts to return the bike to standard specification if required with the original twin seat, rear light, sump plate and rear foot rests.
Matching numbers.
Everything works and the bike has had a full service - points, timing, carbs cleaned, oil, plugs, etc.
New classic design tyres (Dunlop K82) fitted.
New AGM battery.
The bike is supplied with an original Yamaha workshop manual plus a Clymer manual and a set of CMM magazines featuring a DS6 rebuild.
There are a number of other spares included - headlights, cables, odds and ends.
The engine pulls strongly through the gears with that 2-stroke zing.
Some parts were rechromed when restored and have suffered slightly in storage - the chain guard and the bottom edge of the rear mudguard have some surface rust marks.
The rest of the chrome is excellent.
The indicated mileage is very low but cannot be warranted.
Please check the photos and there is a Youtube video showing startup and running - search 'yamaha ds6 2021'.
Bike is located in Bexhill, E Sussex, UK.
