A nicely restored example of the CSR, AJS' sporty lightweight.
Associated Motorcycles (AMC) launched the AJS Model 14 and Matchless G2 in 1958 as new additions to their lightweight 250 range
The 'sporty' CSR incorporated the 'Teledraulic' forks from its larger siblings and a full-width 'British Hub' front brake
For 1965, the CSR featured a high compression piston (9. 5 to 1), closer gear ratios, a raised exhaust and coil valve springs
Often regarded as pedestrian in period, the 14 CSR had a fair turn of speed offering over 80mph
This smart example was comprehensively restored in 2003
Recently serviced and now ready to ride
