Beautifully presented in Gletscher Blau with a complementing ruched leather interior, this true icon of the eighties could only be enhanced by her driver being adorned with a striped shirt, red braces and a Nokia ‘brick’ ‘phone held to their ear. This ultimate driving machine has been cosseted throughout her gentle usage over the last 31 years and has wanted for nothing, being maintained on a ‘money no object’ basis. She has only just covered 100k miles since leaving Bavaria and her legendary straight-six engine purrs with her drive-train feeling smooth and young. She is a delight to drive and is incredibly ‘cool’, with her original sports steering wheel, sports seats and fully operational overhead information centre. Her paintwork is glass-like, pretty much faultless and her full leather interior is superb. Underneath, there are no repairs, no rust, nor has there ever been due to a particularly diligent regime of underbody cleaning and wax protection. I truly believe her to be one of the best E30’s available today. Unmolested and near perfect examples of this model are becoming increasingly hard to find and their values are climbing accordingly.
