I have decided to sell my VW Golf S 1. 2 TSI (85bhp) after eight very happy and reliable years of ownership. I retired from work last year and have not used the car very much since. I bought the car from a VW dealership when it was nine months old, so I am the second owner. It has a full annual service history and has been very carefully driven and looked after.
My Golf was first registered on 23 April 2012 and has a current MoT until 23 October 2021. The body colour is metallic Blue Graphite Pearl and is dent, ding and rust free. There is a small area of paint lifting on the top of the rear bumper (see pic). The car has covered only 44, 400 miles from new and is very economical on petrol with over 50mpg easily achieved. The interior is in excellent smoke and pet free condition with unmarked 'Spell' Titan Black cloth upholstery. I have had tailored protective seat covers in place during my ownership so the seats are still like new. Road tax is just £125 per year.
There are no mechanical or electrical issues, everything works as it should. The engine and five speed gearbox are in excellent working order. The car is fitted with Michelin Alpin winter tyres and all have 7mm tread depth. There is a spare set of four wheels fitted with Hankook tyres that are for summer use, if required. The spare wheel has never been used.
The equipment level is to the Volkswagen S specification which is generous and includes amongst other things: Air Con with semi-auto climatic control / heat insulated tinted glass / DAB digital radio & CD player / electric front windows / ABS with Hydraulic Brake Assist / Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) which incorporates EDL and ASR systems / Front, side and thorax air bags for front occupants with whiplash-optimised head restraints and seat belt pretensioners / speed sensitive power-assisted steering / electronic engine immobiliser / electric adjust door mirrors / auto hold brake function / folding rear seat backs / rear parking sensors, etc, etc.
