Beschreibung
This is an interesting little bike. It was originally exported to Paris, France and lived there until reimported in 2000. It still has the French Marechal headlight and orange bulb. It is also fitted with after market indicators. Presumably for safe navigation of the Route Periphique! This is a MK2 LE with MK3 gearbox fitted. This means it has a kickstart and 4 gears rather than a pull start and 3 hand change gears. This bike is a good little runner in regular use for local shopping trips etc. Everything works as it should except that it needs a new speedo cable. Currently one is on order from the club. The speedometer is in kms per hour as you would expect. These little motorcycles are brilliantly engineered with a smooth twin cylinder 4 stroke boxer engine, water cooling and shaft drive. With its big wheels and proper suspension it handles like a good motorcycle. It is classed as an historic vehicle so no road tax or MoT required. V5 present. Although the bike runs well and starts easily it is somewhat scruffy. The bike has clearly covered far more miles than the 6000kms indicated on the odometer.
