1960 Greeves 24SCS Hawkstone road-registered Scrambler. Tax and MOT exempt. The Frame (60/ 3437) has been authenticated by the Greeves Riders Association. Fitted is a 31A trail/ road 3 geared engine and the iron barrel has been recently rebored by Villiers. New, quieter exhaust and electronic ignition has been added. The bike has new road-legal tyres but sale will also include set of off-road tyres, spare exhaust and pipe, new gasket set, main jets (150, 170, 200), number plate, Greeves/ Villiers manuals (CD-R), and obviously the V5C.
The Bike start and runs fine, but could do with a bit of carb tuning and general fettling. There are some signs of its racing history (dents, marks, chips, adjustment to get faster access to clutch, weight reductions, slightly bent rear loop) plus the usual oil drip.
