Completely customised vauxhall viva, spent 3 years working on this vehicle as a passion project and unfortunately due to illness i can no longer drive the vehicle and it needs an owner who will drive it and love it just as much as i have.
engine: Modern fuel injected 2. 0l 16 valve c20xe “red top” engine (from a cavalier gsi), bought new in 2004 (receipt to prove), has only covered approximately 12, 000 miles. The engine has had high lift cams fitted, k&n filter and has been de-cat’d. Never tested but should be between 165-170bhp.
gearbox: F20 5speed manual source, new less than 2, 000 miles.
exhaust: Professionally made custom stainless steel exhaust system from the standard c20xe 4-2-1 stainless steel manifold.
steering: Hydraulic power steering using a brand new astra mk3 steering rack and column and a citroen electric power steering pump (works superbly).
suspension: Astra mk3 rear beam with manta coil springs and shock absorbers, mk3 front mcpherson struts with upgraded coil springs and koni adjustable dampers. The “track” of this car is a lot wider than a standard viva, resulting in much better handling.
breaks: Front (ventilated) and rear disk breaks, recently replaced disks and new callipers on the front as well. Duel circuit breaking system for added safety.
wheels: New 16” matrix 8-spoke alloy wheels fitted with barely used low profile tyres.
body: Fully restored and heavily customised, finished in nightmare red converted into a cabriolet based on a mk3 escort hood mechanism. A second chassis was welded (full length) into the car for added strength (this car does not suffer from any body felx.) converted to front wheel drive using the front chassis of a mk3 astra.
hood: Professionally fitted mohair hood.
interior: Recaro seats with ‘luke’ 4 point harness for extra safety, momos steering wheel fitted. Modern cavalier dials fitted into the original viva dashboard. Fully custom made door cards, centre console and electric front windows.
other: Sony cd head unit and cat 1 sigma alarm system.
the insurance valuation for this car is £20, 000.
this was my dream car and the only reason i am selling it is due to a stroke that i suffered recently and it would be a crime to convert it into an automatic for me to drive. I hope you love this car just as i do!
