Here for sale is a 1993 rover 216 GTi.
It has the single over head camshaft, 16 valve, Honda D series engine.
No power steering or power sunroof on this model.
The car has covered a total of just 38, 000 miles from new, which is backed up by previous history.
I believe one of the previous owners fitted, the twin cam rear spoiler, sill extensions, twin pipe rear back box and 5 spoke alloys.
Which is an improvement.
New uniroyal rainsport 5 tyres have covered less than 3000 miles.
New genuine rear trailing arm bushes were replaced in 2019 and have covered less than 10, 000 miles.
New Avo adjustable coilovers were fitted in 2019 and have also covered less than 10, 000 miles.
Oil and filter change around 4000 miles ago.
The decals won't be to everyone's taste, but were fitted by a professional company. And can be removed relatively easily. The decal scheme is based upon the rover gti cup cars and the press release car for that race series.
I was told the timing belt had been replaced by a previous owner but haven't confirmed that.
The original steering wheel will be fitted to the car when sold, the one pictured isn't included.
New multifunction unit fitted in April 2021 so no problems with the heated rear window or the interior lamp delay.
Piranha alarm system was installed in the 90s I believe and comes with the key fob to arm and disarm it. Also comes with a key to disable the sounder.
Original radio cassette player and code are present and working.
Electric windows and heated electric mirrors work fine.
MOT until April 2022.
Alternator replaced in June 2021. Original included with the car.
The door cards have sagged on the arm rest sections which seems quite common, the headlining has sagged in two sections behind the driver and passenger. There is a hole at the passenger rear arch / sill area.
New top tint windscreen fitted in the summer of 2021 - so no sunvisor strip decal fitted.
Also included is a new valeo drivers side indicator (current one has a small hole from a stone), and new sill extension plastic clips, enough for both sides.
Front mudguards come with the car.
