Volkswagen T2 2. 0 WC 1979. Imported from the states around four years ago it has been a great van, it has been tastefully upgraded to cope with modern life whilst keeping the originality. brief description below.
As you can see the van has a great look to it, the paint is aged perfectly with its original factory colour Panama beige and Mexico brown it really stands out. the van requires no welding or any work what so ever and is ready to go, the windscreen was removed recently to rust treat the window edges and the screen was re fitted. The engine has been converted professionally by fellows speed shop to a 2. 0 NA Subaru engine, the gearbox has also been upgraded to a 6 rib box with a taller 3rd plus 4th gear which was professionally inspected by bears
And installed by fellows, there’s also a receipt for the work, the van will not sit comfortably at 70mpg with no more than 2400rpm. A new clutch was fitted when the gearbox was installed this was around two months ago, The van has servo assisted brakes, discs up front and drums at the rear. It has 3 way aux heating plumed in from the Subaru conversion so the van actually keeps you warm! 6 month old leisure battery with a split charger installed along with a 12v switch inside the rear for extra 12v installs. Up front it has a Rev gauge and water temp meters fitted.
It’s fitted with 16” genuine syncro wheels and some chunky BFgoodrich all terrain tyres, the interior benefits from a new headlining which was fitted around 2 years ago, the westfalia Berlin interior is in great condition it comes with the westfalia fold out table and has x2 has burners and the original fridge, the sink was decommissioned. it comes with some 12v usb charging in the rear and the front, the front has a captains chair on the passenger, the van has lots more space once the passenger is turned around, It has a diesel heater fitted which isnt the cheap Chinese kind and heats the van in seconds from a control on the rear. It has a nearly new tow bar with full working electrics, one key for all the locks and an extra key for the immobiliser for extra security. Everything has been kept as original as possible. X3 3point seats and x1 one lap belt so safe to travel around with children’s car seats.
Roof rack and coolbox are not part of the sale, Viewings are in redditch Worcestershire, the price isn’t firm but I would appreciate any offer to be made after a viewing.
