Description
I had big plans for the car, but moving to London, so reluctantly selling my Volvo 240 Torslanda Estate project.
Mechanically the car is really solid, engine and gearbox in good condition for age, runs really well and drives very smoothly. Was in daily use and has recently done a couple of long roadtrips all over Scotland. Interior also in great condition, dash, seats, upholstery, boot, headliner etc, all really nice. Tailgate has some very minor surface rust.
I have loads of paperwork on the car, service receipts, mot certificates, garage bills etc. Also have the original handbook and the Torslanda special edition brochure.
Needs some bodywork/ welding to rear sills to get her back on the road, alongside a new front left wheel bearing and a rear break disk. One rear door has rusted and needs replaced, but all door sills in good condition. Some rust under the tailgate needs attention (wire wool and very minor holes to be filled etc…). Paint and Torslanda graphics all in good condition, minor surface rust spots in couple of places.
Overall, a really good car and sad part with, hope to sell to someone who'll take care of her. Volvo 240s, especially Torslanda’s, seem to be rising in value so should be a good investment. Give me a call, very happy to talk more about the car. Currently in Edinburgh.
