At 1986 Finnish Honda importer Otto Brandt ltd gave three Honda CR125´s for young Ismo Vehkonen, cousin of MX World Champion Pekka Vehkonen. Ismo was just about to start his MX World Championship career. Two of these bikes were for training purposes and one bike was dedicated for racing use and was equipped Swedish Lars Larssen tuned Mugen kit. Season resulted two podiums; in Kuopio, Finland and Argentina, Ismo ranked on 6th position in 125cc class World Championship 1986.
This specifically rare Honda Mugenkitted CR is now found on its original patinated condition and is for sale.
The engine is still running nicely and powerfully as it should. Slight corrosion found from the waterpump area, no leak.
Ismo´s WP rear shock still equipped, standard front fork. At -86 season Ismo drove, by his own words, separately standard or early WP USD forks.
Otherwise the bike is as like used MX bike is. You can keep it driveable patinated bike with a racing history or restore it.
