Description
This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire an exquisite rare pillarless 4. 25 Derby Bentley Saloon with coachwork by Vanden Plas. This beautiful example was subject of a full major rebuild by Fiennes Restoration between 1990 and 2002. The Bentley was then maintained by the restorers who have a reputation for world class restorations. Since 2017 the Bentley has been in a Yorkshire based private collection and has covered in the region of 500 miles since purchase through Fiennes.
The Bentley was completely overhauled mechanically, and the bodywork completely rebuilt with no expense spared. The interior has been wonderfully re-trimmed with stunning leather, headlining, carpets and stunning woodwork. A huge comprehensive file of restoration notes and log-books accompanies the car, iteming work and confirming the high level of attention to detail required to achieve such top class results. It comes as no surprise that the Bentley has won ‘First Concours Prize' at a Rolls Royce Enthusiast Club event.
The under bonnet area is incredibly well detailed and still presents as show standard. The car is both cosmetically and mechanically outstanding, and will not disappoint in terms of quality and the way in which it drives. This is a truly top class motor car, and a restoration today to this standard would cost in excess of double the price.
PLEASE NOTE THIS BENTLEY IS AVAILABLE TO VIEW THIS WEEKEND AT GOODWOOD REVIVAL
