Mercedes SLK 230 - Silver with Red Leather Interior - 1998 IN NEED OF WORK
The car is in need of a fair amount of work but is driven daily to work - 30 mile round trip.
Purchased pre-registered with 100 miles on the clock from Ron Stratton (Mercedes Dealer) on 30/ 10/ 1998.
Two owners from new - mother and daughter.
MOT until 29/ 11/ 2021. Passed with defects:
- headlamp lens slightly defective
- suspension arm ball joint cover severely deteriorated
- registration plate deteriorated but not likely to be misread
- brake pipe corroded
Previous work undertaken:
May 2016 - new starter motor fitted
Nov 2019 - 4 new tyres
Sep 2020 - front and rear brake pads replaced
March 2021 - new battery fitted
Current issues:
- central locking not working
- boot lock not working - unable to access boot
- driver window mechanism not working
- bodywork needs attention and is rusting in places - see pictures
- new brake discs needed on the front
