This car was a dear friends now sadly no longer with us, it covered under 150 miles in 18 months due to his giving up driving soon after its mot last year.
Before you read on there is one issue.... the clutch needs doing, it drives well with caution but slips when loaded up. A shame but there it is. I was offered online £290 to have it collected and scrapped but it is far too good so I checked her all over, changed the oil, new wipers and put an mot on it. It passed with little to say, a lazy front calliper (not surprising after so few miles in 18 months and probably needs a good drive) and two tyres nearing need to be replaced.
It really is quite a tidy old thing . It is hard to believe it is 20 years old next year and these vehicles are gaining a strong following as with earlier Celica generations.
Everything works I think..... even the air con blows cold!
It drives very well indeed with exception of the clutch when pushed.... stops nicely, smooth 6 speed box and tight round the bends.
The full black leather interior is very smart with no rips/ tears and only the slightest wear on the drivers bolster.
Plenty of toys, aircon, electric tilt slide sunroof, full leather, decent cd, radio, cassette. Electric Windows etc
The bodywork displays very little corrosion and is more than presentable. Some lacquer peel in small areas and evidence of blowing over but all in all straight with no marks or dents of note.
It has the sought after body kit/ sills etc.
Underneath shows no signs of previous welding, does not need any and areas often really crusty like the sill ends are good and solid.
In summary a tidy car with new mot needing a clutch..... though drivable. I can get the clutch done if given time at cost for a new owner or if a DIY'er does it themself its a very inexpensive car.
