We have the pleasure of offering for sale our fantastic 1987 Suzuki RG500. Sporting the stunning Blue and white livery this machine is without doubt the best example we have seen and an absolute credit to it's previous owners. This low mileage UK example has covered just 19, 489 miles. It offers an extremely rare opportunity to own a true full powered UK version (not to be confused with the restricted Japanese imports) of this legendary 2 stroke iconic Suzuki. The bike is supplied with the service manual, old MOT's and various old magazine articles about the the bike, it will also receive a service and full independent MOT prior to sale.
The mid eighties were a glorious time for two strokes with the Yamaha RD500 YPVS and the Suzuki RG500 fighting it out for the top spot. Launched in 1986 the RG500 with its water cooled four cylinder two-stroke engine was the closest thing to riding a GP bike on the road. The two stroke engine was pretty much the same engine that won the GP' races of the seventies. The RG production unfortunately ceased in 1989 as harsher emission and noise controls slowly started to stranglehold the performance two strokes of the day.
