Description
1937 BSA B21 Sports, ohv 250cc.
One year only model making it quite a rarity. It is a light motorcycle easy to handle and move around. Bike was restored some time ago engine fully rebuilt, bottom end refurbished by a well known Gold Star specialist. Good replacement barrel and piston were fitted. No battery currently fitted. Has been fitted with a three speed gearbox at some time in the past but works fine.
I have owned this bike for over twenty years and barely ridden it as it had a carb flooding problem which to be honest I just gave up on for years. This has now been resolved once I found a new old stock period correct carburettor body. Now starts easy, ticks over nice, runs and rides, sounds healthy. I have also modified the oil tank to accept an additional cleanable oil filter and it has a manual anti wet-sumping valve fitted. I just have no inclination to use it and have moved on, lost interest so decided its time for it to go.
Condition overall is good but does have a few age related marks and chips here and there, don't expect concours. Needs a few minor jobs doing to recommission properly and make really nice, but on the whole a good old thing. Has age related number, V5 historic tax class in my name. Get in touch for more info. Open to sensible offers.
