always garaged&covered in outstanding original condition, i am offering to view by appointment only, my 1994 bosch l-jetronic 2e engine vw golf gti mk3 3 door hatch, with just 62, 730 miles&fully documented service history throughout it's life. It comes with the two original keys. i have owned the car since april 2018, and bought it from a friend whom had also cherished &waxoyled the car throughout.
in those years, i stripped all the suspension, subframes and running gear fitting a full set of new bilstein b4 shock absorbers, apex lowering springs, new engine&g/ box mounts, polybushed rear axle, new front wishbones, polybushed uprated thicker front anti-roll bar, rear brake compensator valve, goodridge brake hoses and replenished the hydraulic system with dot 5. 1 fluid.
the cylinder head was removed for inspection, new head gasket fitted, cambelt&tensioner renewed.
the car then underwent a full four wheel geometry set up, and eibach camber bolts fitted to give 2. 25 deg neg camber on the front for motorsport use.
a 'health check' rolling road dyno was completed at 'john clarksons' near bolton, and 3 runs gave a figure of 123 bhp&122 lb/ ft torque on a completely standard 8v engine, driving through the standard 5 speed 020 gearbox, shod with excellent tread michelin sport pilot 3 195/ 50/ 15 tyres (from list '1a' racmsa motorsport use)on superb condition original vw le-mans alloy wheels.
the golf comes with tilt/ sliding glass electric sunroof, electric windows and mirrors, and a sony cd mp3 stereo. it has also been fitted with a brink swan-neck towbar from new, with 12n electrics(should you wish to tow your caravn to race meetings)
i also fitted the upgraded twin headlamp hella set-up, along with a black grille and red pin-striping, and factory fit hella front foglamps&wiring loom.
the original gti spec vw headlamps& original suspension do come, with the car, if you are a 'pursit' &you should wish to return it to 'original factory' specification.
the car drives perfectly, giving over 42 mpg on a motorway run. Or a good thrashing over the mountain roads, giving superb driver feedback through power steering,&suspension set-up.
this car has been seriously looked after&maintained, i took the decision, to enhance it for motorsport use, but it really is 'too good' to race!
if you wan't a mint golf gti, inside and out, without all the 16v hassle, this is the car for you.... it even has the original fitted winter rubber floor mat set..
hillclimb/ sprints/ trackdays at the weekends, drive to work on monday.....!!
