For sale is this rare and beautiful Austin Allegro 3 door Estate 1300 Super in white with a low mileage of 48k. The car has been exceptionally well looked after, spending every night in a garage for the last 40 years.
The model is a very late series 2 from 1979 with commission number 26847 so less than 4000 cars before series 3. The spec is 3dr super deluxe 1275cc estate. Leyland Vehicle ID is AE3WJS 421494A.
She comes with a comprehensive Full Service History including original Leyland Cars Service Passport.
My grandparents bought the car second hand in 1981 with about 12k mileage and she has lived in the same garage ever since. My father cared for her over the last 15 years until he passed away earlier this year, so it is now time for her to find a new home. If I had space to keep the car it wouldn’t be up for sale but alas I don’t so want her to join a new family.
She has had a service and MOT every year with the most recent work being a strip clean, tuned carb and brake adjustment in 2020 and the fitting of electronic ignition and a new battery in 2021.
Condition wise, please take a good look at the photos. My assessment is that externally the paintwork is in very good condition with some inevitable small rust spots about but nothing serious apart from above the headlights down the sides of the bonnet. The seats show some signs of wear as shown in the photos, the mats are worn and one door handle has some damage. One wing mirror has a patch where it has lost the reflective coating and the chrome trim has peeled off near the mirrors. More photos are available on request (I could only add 12 to the listing).
Everything functions to my knowledge but please note I have only driven the car a few miles - but what a joy it was.
V5 registration document on hand. Taxed until March 2022 but I think is old enough to be tax as well as MOT exempt now seeing as she is so old.
The vehicle is located near Rye in East Sussex.
It may be possible to bring the car to Cambridge if the buyer is further north, or alternatively to South West London.

She is in very good structural condition. Nothing's ever been identified in the annual services or MOTs and I couldn't see any defects in the wheel arches. Some rust protection was applied to the underside about 5 years ago.
There's no record of the hyrdagas units being recharged.
Currently stored in the same garage.
Update Dec-21: asking price reduced. Open to offers.
