Beschreibung
This lovely Mk1 Midget was professionally restored to a very high standard back in 2005 - and the underside and structure of the car are still in excellent condition with absolutely no corrosion.
The car runs and drives beautifully, with a strong 1098cc A-Series engine that pulls well and delivers consistently good oil pressure. These Gan-2 Midgets were the second generation of the Mk1, and as such they have the clean lines of the original early Midget and benefit from disk brakes at the front for improved stopping power.
In my ownership the car has received a professionally rebuilt gearbox by Hardy Engineering, along with a new clutch, slave cylinder and NOS release bearing. The car also benefits from modern electronic ignition (hidden within the distributor).
The interior is in excellent condition and features its rare original steering wheel. It could do with new trim panels to really make it perfect. The seats have obviously been reupholstered to a high standard and look great. There is a period correct Grundig radio fitted (working) along with original Lucas driving and fog lights. A previous owner has sensibly fitted seatbelts for both driver and passenger.
The paintwork is very presentable and there are no areas of rust, dents or scratches.
This little Midget comes with hood, hood frame, tonneau and tonneau support bars. The side screens are also in excellent condition, and like the hood they look like they have hardly ever been used.
Please contact me to view the car at it's storage location in Bradfield, West Berkshire. The location has a lift, so you can get underneath and inspect the car fully.
