More exclusive than a 4/ 4, the Plus 8 offers the usual Morgan characteristics but with that little extra, generous and sonorous engine!
The Plus 8 was first introduced in 1968 and then appears as a revolution at Morgan, such a powerful engine had never been seen in the workshops of Malvern.
This 1982 model is in very good overall condition, he is not looking like 38 years old! The slightly patinated upholstery gives the change to a body with very shiny paint. We will just note a few little scratches due to the use of the car.
Inside, eighties oblige, it is the black that dominates, but we nevertheless have the pleasure of sitting in the small bucket seats with the thin and very curved backrest.
Outside, the car is very stripped down, it has no bumpers like the "sport" versions. We notice the aluminum rims typical of the Plus 8, they have been recently repainted. The only accessory is the luggage rack, which is very useful for placing luggage on it.
The engine starts perfectly with a hoarse sound distilled by the double exhaust. The SU carburetors, well adjusted, ensure good revs. The gearbox shifts perfectly. On the running gear side, the car is fitted with 4 Koni shock absorbers and the front brake discs are almost new.
So here we are in the presence of a car ready to hit the road, with more than sufficient power and full of charm to the end of the steering wheel, located on the good side, to the right of course!
