As one of Britain’s longest established motor manufacturers, the Morgan Motor Company have produced quintessential handmade British Sports Cars from their Malvern home since 1909.
Despite their classic styling and traditional hand built characteristics, Morgan to this day continue to evolve and develop modern interpretations of their classic designs.
It was in this vein that Morgan became the first of countless sports car manufacturers to recognize the benefits and employ the versatile all-alloy Rover/ Buick V8 engine as early as 1967.
Openly credited as having saved the Company, with its widened track matched to the traditional sweeping lines and handcrafted Ash Frames; it was the mid-range flexibility and high torque available from the beating V8 heart that helped to make the Morgan Plus 8 an instant success.
First registered on January 1st 1996 and having covered just over 37, 000 miles with three owners from new, this excellent Plus 8 is finished in Metallic Black paintwork with Black leather piped in red and is specified with black carpets piped in red together with a black Mohair hood and full wet weather gear.
Presented in superb condition both cosmetically and mechanically, the Morgan is currently owned by a Marque enthusiast who has, over the past 30 years owned and raced numerous Morgans.
This well cared for example benefits from optional extras and upgraded enhancements which include an Aluminium body and louvered bonnet with steel wings, an uprated Electronic Control Unit and programmable Eprom chip together with a roll cage, large bore Libramotive sports exhaust system, aluminium performance radiator and Panhard Rod to enhance the handling characteristics.
