1968 Dodge Charger RT 440 automatic.
Most of our Chargers that we get for sale are sold before they even hit our showroom floor... we understand why, what a beautiful body has a Charger this series chargers runs from 1968 until 1970 with every year different options, and different styling of Taillights and grills, the 68 Charger is the most popular and most rare version of the three chargers, this charger is a Genuine RT what stand for Road and Track, it's a real XS coded Charger, it has a correct 1968 440 engines and a correct 727 3 speed automatic transmission, and the correct 8 3/ 4 rear axle with 3:23 Ratio.
This Charger is restored recently it had a total rebuild and upgrade of the engine, the 440 received new bearings, new pistons, new gaskets, new fuel pump, rebuilt carb, new ignition, plus we installed an Electronic Fuel Injection system to control the Fuel injection, and make it a more daily driver, en tune the engine better, if the fuel mixture is better, the engine is quicker, and faster, but also leaner on the fuel consumption, this engine has the original style exhaust manifolds with tuned exhaust mufflers, to have a better V8 sounds, the engine received Mopar black aluminum valve-covers, and electronic ignition system from Mopar, this engine is fresh, fast and ready to Pedal To The Metal, the cooling system is upgraded with a new aluminum Radiator and a new fan shroud cover, also the Transmission cooler is new installed.
The Car is upgraded with 4 wheel disc brakes with vented rotors and a new Master cylinder and a new brake booster, all new brake lines and new hoses, it will stop better than original, and it's safer with disc's then drum brakes, also this car has new aluminum American racing Torq Trust wheels with new BF Goodrich tires. The complete suspension is rebuild and upgrades with all new bushings and rubbers and new shocks and parts around it, it's ready to be registered and to be driven.
White and black two-tone interiors stands out really nice together with its deep green metallic paint, the interior received a total upgrade also with new carpet, new door panels new seat covers and new insulation, and new chrome door openers, and window cranks, it's all clean and fresh inside this Charger, it has a special option also in the Dash cluster, it's the Tic Toc Tacho Tachometer in the dashboard, it's a Tachometer and Clock in one, really special and beautiful to see in the Cluster, all the wiring is checked and upgraded to receive the EFI fuel injection system, the trunk compartment is clean and recently restored with new paint and a new trunk mat.
Chrome is all in good condition, with polished trim around the windows and roof, and the Grill is in really nice condition, what is rare because most of the grills has many cracks and paint damages, this one is really nice, the one and only year made round taillights are cleaned and polished, to be fresh again, and the RT Badges are there and restored also, the flipping Le Mans style gas cap is also original and in good condition, its really easy to fuel up this charger with this type of gas cap. This Charger has tinted glass all around.
This Charger RT will be for sale soon in our showroom, we have only one of it, so be quick if you are looking for one, as it can be sold before it even hits our showroom floor, a 68 Charger RT is rare to find, and in this condition you just want to have it!
