2001 Rover Mini Cooper Sport 500 S Works in British Racing Green with a silver roof, bonnet stripes and mirrors. This is one of the last 500 Minis ever made, making it very collectable. In 2016 when it had covered 24000 miles, it was converted to S Works specification with a Cooper Car Company S Works conversion. It was fitted by Mini Sport who are a registered fitter for these conversion kits. The conversion cost £2566. 18. Before the kit was fitted the mini was producing 68. 5 BHP on the rolling road at Mini Sport and once the kit was fitted it was producing 85 BHP. Due to the additional engine power with no increase in weight it feels nice and responsive and with the twin upswept S Works exhaust it sounds very sporty. The front brakes have been upgraded to alloy 4 pot with vented discs which cost £423. 00. It also has the Cooper Car Company short shift gear change which is one the best I have used and adds to the fun of driving this great mini Cooper. The current mileage is just 26950 from new and I have a very comprehensive history file showing that it has had 10 services from new. I also have the past MOTs to support the mileage and both sets of keys. The bodywork is very original and immaculate reflecting the garaged life it has had. This a rare and special Mini and currently there are very few, if any, Cooper Sport 500’s for sale and it is rare to find one with the S Works Conversion.
