Stunning Chamonix White BMW 2002 which has undergone extensive restoration, both mechanical and cosmetic.

BODY.
Total body strip, remove all glass, bonnet, boot lid, doors and trim. All corrosion cut out and replaced with new metal. New L&R rear wheel arches and outer sills.
Remove engine and gearbox, F&R subframes.
Bare metal respray in Chamonix White, paint code 085. Waxoyl underfloor, wheel arches, box sections and cavities.
Fit new F&R screen rubbers, new door seals and window rubbers. All locks and window mechanisms cleaned and lubricated.
Fit refurbished 13" Alpina wheels x 5.
ENGINE AND MECHANICALS
Total engine strip, clean out waterways and oil ways. Fit Tii grand piano pistons. Clean and inspect crank, polish and refit with new standard mains and big end bearings. Fit new Piper 285 fast road camshaft. Polish and flow cylinder head, regrind and lap valves. Flow inlet to maximum. Weber twin choke downdraught carburettor. Braided fuel lines and silicone hoses. Electronic ignition, sports coil & HT leads.

CHASSIS & SUSPENSION.
F&R subframes stripped, cleaned, welded, strengthened and gusseted to race car specification. Track control arms seam welded.
Rear suspension arms and spring mounts seam welded and strengthened.
Polyurethane suspension bushes, steering coupler and bushes fitted.
Bilstein stage 1 dampers, 30mm lower and 25% stiffer springs. Originals with the car. Race spec F&R suspension top mounts.
New brake master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders, rebuilt front callipers. Refurbished brake servos x 2. Braided race spec hoses and Silicone fluid
GEARBOX.
My recent improvement to the car is a unique 5 speed box with original bell housing and gearbox casing, 5th gear sandwich plate, speedo drive and original clutch actuation. However, the casing has been machined and plated internally to accommodate bigger bearings and the all synchro internals from a later 320i. The result is a completely original looking Getrag 5 speed box and clutch, with all synchro gears, fantastic ratios and 5th gear cruising. No transmission tunnel modifications and a beautifully fabricated and powder coated rear gearbox mounting. New clutch master and slave cylinders with braided race spec hoses and silicone fluid.

INTERIOR
Recaro front seats, retrimmed in 1/ 2 granite grey leather, with black piping and black/ grey fleck cloth centres. Fishnet headrests. Rear seats and all trim to match.
If this interior is not to your taste, I have all new door cards and rear side panels in black, with the original seats in black/ blue velour.
