Offering up my project Clio for sale. It’s a genuine low mileage car with only 54830 miles on! I’ve had the car around 12 years and it was well looked after as it was before me, I have a pile of records of work the previous owners and I have done.
Now I say project as the car was well maintained until it got parked up around 6 years ago. Being low mileage and well looked after the car is far from a dog! Inside is still very clean (few specific areas have damage) outside is still presentable and it runs and drives. I know what this car would be worth with little work and that what it deserves, to be brought back to glory I just don’t have the time. So the things that need addressing mainly are from it being sat,
#The sills have started to rust out and will need replacing, the rear arches are starting to show signs of damage coming through so worth doing at the same time, other than the odd ding the rest of the car is straight but obviously being 25 years old the paint does have chips and scratches etc in places so would really benefit from a respray to be mint or easily salvageable by a good body shop with some localised repairs. Also external bump trims etc would need repainting.
#The sunroof seal has leaked (new seal included) and theres slight area of the headliner stained (might clean off once dried out).
#Timing belt is over due (new belt included)
#Battery dead
#Front fogs need replacing (new led units included)
#Due to being sat I’d recommend changing brakes (new fluid, braided lines, front discs, front and rear pads included)
#Last serviced 2 years ago but done 0 miles
#Age related niggles…. Don’t forget it’s over 25 years old!
As you can see it won’t take a lot of work and a lot of parts are included. There are also lots of positives now the negatives are out of the way.

#Honest, clean, original car with history. Even has bootliner and parcel shelf with no holes.
#Decat stainless steel manifold back exhaust (cat included)
#New pipercross sport foam upgraded original air filter
#Original alloys freshly refurbished with brand new tyres and matching centre caps (not shown in pictures as removed to stop theft)
#Original central locking still working, both remote keys and both immobiliser keys (one remote has flat battery) and original owners wallet
#Sports suspension (unsure of brand)
#Brembo discs & ferrodo pads all round (but would recommend change due to age)
#Original spare wheel and jack
#Previously under sealed and cavity waxed oiled
#Was running and driving perfectly around 2 years ago, I’m theory with fresh battery should run and drive fine, will try to sort this for viewings but want to keep to bare minimum if starting due to cam belt age only
So all in all I think perfect base for restoration. With little work would easily be worth around the £15k mark and are only increasing with value. With that in mind and work it need to get it to that point I think a fair price is £6000 Ono not seen one with this low mileage for sale in years
