Finished in brilliant millennium yellow with a black leather interior, this powerhouse of a car looks simply superb sitting on a set of the factory 18” twin spoke dark grey alloy wheels.
The Z06 uses a tuned version of the small block 5. 7 litre LS1 engine designated the LS6 which is rated at 385 bhp at 6000rpm and 385 pound feet or torque, giving this American legend a true turn of speed with a 0-60 time of just 4. 9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 170mph.
Chevrolet engineered several modifications for the Z06 to put the increased power to its best use, starting with the most structurally rigid body style?with?the car only being available as a hardtop or FRC (Fixed Roof Coupé). The uprated components added to the Z06 included, uprated suspension, larger wheels and tires, revised gearing ratios, and functional brake cooling ducts and the Z06 is 38 lb (17 kg) lighter than a standard C5 hardtop due to weight-saving measures such as a titanium exhaust system, thinner glass, lighter wheels, non-EMT tires, reduced sound proofing, fixed rear radio aerial, and a lighter battery.
The cars previous owner embarked on a long list of sensible upgrades including silicone coolant hoses, Bilstein sport shock absorbers, Poly Urethane anti roll bar bushes, stainless steel braided brake hoses and short throw gear shifter.
Contained within the history file to compliment the book pack are a number of service invoices and old MOTs together with yearly service and repair work reports by Brookspeed Limited who have comprehensively maintained the car since 2010.
This Corvette is in truly exceptional condition and is as clean underneath as it is on top having covered only 49, 000 miles from new.
As with all our cars, this fantastic Corvette will be fully inspected and serviced in our workshop before delivery and we welcome any inspection in our workshops.
