In January 1998 in Detroit, the first CLK equipped with a V8 engine, a 4. 3-liter M113 series, was presented.
In September 1999, on the occasion of the first restyling, the range is enriched by the CLK55 AMG version, equipped with a 5. 4-liter V8 and capable of delivering up to 347 HP of maximum power, with modified set-up, perforated and self-ventilated disc brakes. and AMG Speedshift automatic transmission that automatically selects the most suitable gear.
A practically perfect car on the road and reserved for racing and high spending users.
The CLK range was offered without further modifications until June 2002, when it definitively ceased its production.
