Here we have for a sale a 2000 example of the Yamaha YZF1000R Thunder Ace. This motorcycle came to us by way of part exchange and was far too nice to trade.
Having covered just 7, 916 miles from new and benefitting from the undeniable reliability of a Yamaha engine our 3 owner example is in lovely original condition and comes with the original factory handbook and service book, spare keys and plenty of MOT certificates to verify the mileage.
The YZF1000R was the bike Yamaha produced as a stop-gap model which replaced the FZR1000 and preseeded the YZF-R1. The Thunderace five-valve four-cylinder engine was derived from the FZR1000 with the frame adapted from the YZF750R. It also benefitted from having new carburetors fitted with "Throttle Position Sensors" giving the ignition more data to help control the EXUP valve in the exhaust pipe.
