Number 332 of the 1, 960 limited edition Boxster RS60 Spyders produced in 2008, YJZ6795 is a car that we sourced for it’s current owner back in 2018. The RS60 was available in four distinct variations, manual or Tiptronic, and either a Carrera Red interior and roof, or graphite grey as an alternative. It’s subjective I know, but the best combination has to be a manual car with the Carrera Red interior, the closest approximation to the racing Type 718 Spyders that won the Sebring 12 hours and the Targa Florio in 1960. YJZ6795 ticks both boxes, and as one of just 300 UK RHD cars out of the worldwide 1, 960 made, it’s pretty rare too.
Now showing just 48, 031 miles and with a full service history (6 stamps in the service record), YJZ6795 was originally supplied by Porsche Centre Belfast – hence the NI registration, and came to the UK in 2018 just before we bought the car on behalf of the current owner. It remains in spectacular condition throughout, with very few blemishes to either the GT Silver paintwork or the Carrera Red extended leather interior.
The RS60 came with a large number of factory fitted options – special order GT Silver paintwork, extended leather, switchable Porsche Sports Exhaust (which increases power output to 303bhp), PASM adaptive dampers, heated sports seats, cruise control, 19 inch Sport Design wheels with 10mm spacers, black windscreen surround, RS60 Spyder stainless door entry guards, GT Silver centre console and instrument cluster, amongst others.
When we sourced the car at 43, 000 miles, we conducted a bore scope which showed no bore scoring at all, and having repeated the same inspection last week, the car is still completely free of any scoring. Recently fitted with new front brake discs and pads, and having had a replacement drive belt fitted at the same time, this fabulous RS60 Spyder is ready to go.
