The Alfa 1900 marks a real industrial revolution, resulting in a clear departure from the more opulent pre-war models, but without sacrificing glamor, thanks to the proposals of the great coachbuilders who declined it in numerous versions. The 1900 made its debut at the 1950 Turin Motor Show and immediately afterwards the creation of the first models still in semi-artisanal form began, even if mass production is already planned.
The 1900 is the first Alfa car equipped with a body integrated directly into the chassis produced in series and, above all, it is the first car in which the manufacturer introduces the 4-cylinder twin-shaft engine for the first time, which will then characterize the subsequent evolutions. The elegant aesthetics and the three volumes of space make it one of the family saloons of that era most appreciated by Italians.
But the success in sales is mainly due to the brand's sporting reputation. The famous slogan "The family car that wins races" is just a preview of the new versions that will soon hit the market.
