Here for sale I have a special opportunity to own an immaculate Mazda Mx5 Mk1 1994 with 1 previous owner and 29k miles. Reg L500FRP. Previous Reg RGZ7958.
This is a truly immaculate original Mx5 Mk1 with only 29k miles, 1 previous owner and the original bill of sale in 1994 from Saltmarine Mazda in Dungannon, Ireland.
Cosmetically the exterior of the car is pristine. There are no dents, no marks, no scratches. The paintwork is gleaming with an unmarked clear coat. The roof is in perfect condition with only a small discolouration of the plastic original rear window which is perfectly watertight and works like new. The original 14” daisy wheels are like new also. The engine bay is one of the cleanest original mx5’s you will see. The boot is the same.
The interior is all in great condition as you would expect. The seats have little to no wear at all. The original mats are present too.
Underneath the car is excellent. You wouldn’t tell it was a 28 year old car! It has not been undersealed like so many of these cars that can hide certain problems. You can see there is none of the common rust and rot. The sills are all original and solid with original spot welds to show. The sills look like new.
Mechanically, the car drives like is has just left the showroom. There are no knocks, clunks, rattles or strange noises. The gearbox works as it should with only 29k miles and the engine is quiet and smooth. Everything works as it should with no faults. The car has a very good service history with a recent main dealer service with Mazda late last year at Mazda Chichester when it also had a health check with nothing to report.
There is no sign of rust on the car or any accident damage at all.
Previous reg plates were L11ANN - this plate was put on the car from new and won’t show on the DVLA MOT history checks, being an Irish car. I have the paper copies of most of the MOT’s in Ireland. RGZ7958 was then put on the car when the original lady owner retained her private plate to sell the car. The car was then brought over to England and it has had 2 MOT’s since. It was then given a private plate by the second owner, L500FRP which it is yet to have an MOT. The MOT history is very good with no adverse advisories or major faults including no mention of rust.
These cars in this condition, with low mileage and low owners are getting very rare indeed. The prices are increasing rapidly. You will do very well to find a better one.
