Description

For sale is my lovely TVR S2 290S 2. 9 V6

Enthusiast owned car and TVRCC member. Only selling as I have an itch to scratch on a TVR Tuscan.

92, 000 miles, engine always starts first time, runs great and has plenty of grunt with a lovely off-beat V8 sounding exhaust note from the V6 engine!

Extensive service history and huge folder of invoices and receipts of work done over the years. Mainly TVR main dealer with TVR specialists in the latter years. Comes with all sales manuals and literature. I will also include 2x Steve Heath bibles (first and second edition) as well as a Haynes Ford Granada book for those who like to tinker! Nice history with the car with its past well documented with photos and even dealer sales brochures of the car for sale over the years.

The car is finished in Brooklands Racing Green. The paint is presentable, but does have the odd mark here or there as you would expect for a 30 year old car. During my ownership I have put a lot of time effort and money into enhancing what was already a lovely car.

Some of these upgrades include:

- Magnolia seats and trim refresh (vinyl seats
repainted)
- Brand new green with magnolia piped carpets
in Luxury Wool from DC Trim in Blackpool.
- Nardi Classic 330mm wood rim steering wheel
with snap off kit. (Original wheel will come with
the car as well)
- TVR Chimaera/ Griffith wing mirrors
- Custom Alloy Roof Bars
- Alloy seatbelt mount mod (stops seatbelt
catching on the carpet and retracts fully -
common issue)
- Alloy TVR Rocker Covers on the engine
- Forge Motorsport Induction pipes.
- Upgraded 8mm Cunifer Copper fuel lines
- New clutch master and slave cylinders
- New fan belt
- 4x Tyres recently replaced with 6mm tread all
round.
- Upgraded stainless steel exhaust system and
manifolds

The chassis is original for the most part, apart from the rear trailing arms which were replaced 2 years ago. The chassis and outriggers are solid and in great condition.

Bad bits (every car has them)

- The roof is OK but could do with being
replaced. This is circa £450 if you fit yourself or
£800 for a trimmer to do. It was going to be my
next job.
- Paintwork as previously mentioned has the odd
mark here or there, but it is very presentable.
- Has original sound system, which is next to
useless. I just listen to the exhaust though. :)

In Summary: A well loved and well maintained car that has been a joy to own and has been extremely reliable! I have kept this car in my garage and only used in spring summer months. Tastefully modified, with a focus on preserving originality where possible. Would benefit from minor further improvements, such as a new roof.

Priced at £7, 995 OVNO.
