As per title.
this is a fantastic gem of a find. Got to be one of the 'holy grails' to all of those in the performance vw community. Low mileage .... low owner ... high spec 'bespoke' vw corrado.... in 1st class condition and still intact .. with all the 'upgrades' it was treated to as a new vehicle.
if you've read this far ... you're probably aware that 'gti engineering' based at unit 9, silverstone ... were the only 'volkswagen approved' tuner and their cars were truly amazing... state of the art.. bits of kit.
the spec on this car is huge. Factory options of electric mirrors ... sunroof and electric 'recaro' seats would have set it apart on its own. Then to have it further 'upgraded' by the masters at silverstone set this vehicle as something truly exceptional among the volkswagen faithful.
'gti engineering' then added a further very high 'up spec' (as per the photo in listing).... this would indicate that g301edu may well have been used as a demonstrator.
most of the cars life has been in the ownership of 'bowler joe' ( crown green bowling .. was his love) from the stockport area. It was clearly his pride and joy .... undoubtedly he had an understanding of what a great motorcar he had got himself and to that end it stayed with him until his passing in 2021.
the fact that the car is in 1st class condition and remains 'intact' .... is a true reflection on him. Thank you joe!
the car has a complete and sensible 'service history' ( as well as all the original 'gti engineering' paperwork). it comes with a long mot and any inspection is welcome and indeed invited.
i can hear all the 'keyboard vw experts' rattling the buttons like mad.... opinions / values/ educated.. uneducated in equal measure.... flying around the internet!!!
in a very fickle 'retro classic' market ... it is difficult to understand why such a 'unique/ special/ rare' volkswagen performance 'icon' is not really appreciated.

car is based in manchester.... is hpi clear and i'm happy if any of our irish cousins fancy it and i reckon it might well end up in the 'emerald isle'.
