Description
Welcome to the private sale of my twr jaguar xj-s project. 1 of only 300 twr's enhanced at tom walkinshaw racing between 1984 and 1988.
these original twr's are special because they were enhanced alongside the race winning twr track cars, with customers first having to order a standard xj-s from jaguar (for around £27, 000), then be invited to take it to twr and spend another £36, 000 for the enhancements!
please be under no illusion, this is a full-on project and will require time and dedication! But in the end very much worthwhile...
all the bolt-on panels that you will need such as a good used bonnet, boot and doors will come with the car. Some of the panels will need a bit of work, while others like the front wings are genuine new-old-stock items.
the interior leather is good with no rips or tears, but you'll need a new carpet set and headlining etc...
the 'service to passport' booklet is present with some twr stamps (as it was also serviced there after the enhancements!) plus all the book packs and manuals present, plus the heritage certificate etc.
the full twr bodykit with debossed logo will also come with the car of course (see pic -removed by last owner).
the 'core' of the xj-s is in fact in good condition with solid floors, inner sills and inner front wings. The rear arches are also pretty good.
originally ordered as a 5. 3 h. e. V12 auto in tudor white with isis blue leather (as per the heritage certificate) she then went off to twr to have the following enhancements: Twr air intake pack, remapped ecu, (328bhp) larger bore stainless quad-exhaust system, 16" speedline alloy wheels, uprated springs and bilstein dampers, etcc racing steering wheel (colour coded to leather), uprated brakes and callipers, strengthened radius arms, twr steering valve, 'quick-shift' automatic gearbox option.
so in summary, a worthwhile project of an extremely rare, early twr jaguar xj-s, that would ideally be suited to a real jaguar enthusiast.
