1989 Corvette C4 Convertible in stunning condition with 52, 000 miles and a fantastic history
Fairmont Sports and Classics are delighted to offer this 1989 Corvette C4 Convertible which was supplied new to the UK in 1991. Having covered only 51, 700 miles to date and warranted by a virtually unbroken run of 26 old MOTs back to 1992, this is a special opportunity.
Finished in stunning Dark Red Metallic and contrasted by a tan hood and white leather seats and interior, it is a striking combination and in addition that 5. 7 V8 engine under the bonnet it is a true American legend.
As a well specc’d car it features electronic climate control (recently overhauled), electronic seats, sport leather steering wheel, Bose stereo system and with that early and very retro electronic instrument cluster you really feel like you step into the 80s when you are behind the wheel.
The paintwork presents immaculately well for a car now 30 years, and it is clear from its condition that it has been cherished since arriving in the UK in 1991. What we believe to be original paint, it is a sharp across the whole coach work with just the usual stone-chipping being the only defects.
With regards to maintenance and history, it is not perfect but one of the most comprehensive we have seen on a Corvette C4. An excellent file of invoices arranged in date order attest to regular upkeep over the years. Recent new parts include tyres; exhaust; front ball joints; front brake discs and pads; rocker cover and inlet manifold gaskets; auxiliary belt and tensioner; LH rear hub and bearing; rear fog lights; LED headlights and daylight running lights; seat covers; carpets; seat belts; Hawk alarm/ immobiliser; air con overhaul; wheel alignment.
In a really lovely condition throughout, it is quite the nicest Corvette we have seen and will draw admiring looks wherever it goes. With the top down in the summer it is a romantic driving experience and feels and sounds every bit as good as it looks.
As with all our cars, this fantastic Corvette will be fully inspected and serviced in our workshop prior to sale and we welcome any inspection in our workshops. Car will be supplied with a 12 Month MOT and a 3 Month Warranty.
